CAMPUS The Academy is situated on a 2 acre campus with woodlands, landscaped areas, playing fields, outdoor basketball, regulation track, football field and scenic pond. ENROLLMENT SW and RMC enroll 749 students per year. CLASS SIZE Average 15 – 25 students per class. DIVERSITY SW Academy believes everyone needs to have a sense of belonging and connection with others. This helps provide a positive school climate where students, parents, staff and community members feel they belong and are valued. ACADEMICS SW Academy offers a university and SAT preparatory curriculum with classes in Math, English, Science, History, French, English for Speakers of Other Languages, Computer, Fine Arts, Physical Education, and Study Skills. POST-SECONDARY PLACEMENT Our program adheres to the Long Term Athletic Development Model (LTAD) and ensures that our season uses effective periodization. This allows us to properly integrate all areas of athletic development, and provides opportunities for individualization and puts a plan in place to achieve peak performance. The SW LTAD and international schedule allows our basketball program to best prepare our student-athletes for the next level while providing them with NCAA, NAIA and CIS USports exposure opportunities in a safe learning environment. ACCOMMODATIONS Southwest Academy has boasts two separate boys and girls dorm properties and operates an amazing billet network within our basketball community.

At SW the student-athletes receive individual attention from our Guidance Department . Through individual attention, the Guidance Department forms a personal relationship in order to both ensure the student-athlete is on the right track towards graduating and meeting the requirements of their desired school, but also in assisting in the process and finding an institution that is the perfect fit for the student-student-athlete.


With the success of our athletic programs, and reputation of our athletic coaches and directors, SW has established relationships with coaches from athletic programs across the NCAA and USports .


SW offers Academic Level classes to ensure that the student-athlete meets their core course requirements. Our guidance counselors have expertise in both Canadian and American universities, in order to make certain the student-athletes meet the eligibility requirements of their desired school.
